Questions people actually ask
Is there a free trial?
No, and that is deliberate. The free tier is untimed and capped at 100 members rather than at 14 days. Nothing expires, so there is no date on which your community stops working.
What is an occupied seat?
A person who is actually a member of your community at the start of the billing cycle. Remove somebody and you stop paying for them next cycle. There is no minimum seat count — a household of three pays for three.
What happens when a free community passes 100 members?
We tell you before you hit the cap rather than cutting service off. Nothing is deleted and nobody is locked out mid-week.
Do you charge for the API?
No. Every tier can call the REST API — the free tier is rate-limited to 1,000 calls a day rather than blocked. A developer who cannot make one call cannot evaluate the integration.
Can I self-host?
On the enterprise plan, yes — that is what the plan is. You get your own deployment, and it can run in a region you choose or on your own infrastructure.
